The issues surrounding the Bad Arolsen archive* have particular import for survivors and their descendants. A number of court cases, including the Generali case cited in the January 2007 newsletter, are impacted by the fact that many survivors and their families have not had access to the vital information sealed in the archive. The Coordinating Committee of GSI   has written a letter to Congress and the media asking the lawyers involved to request courts to stop proceedings until the archive information is made available so that survivors and families can determine their status regarding these cases.
