Book/Film Discussion Group
On the occasion of our 10th anniversary year, GSI is honored to highlight the talents of some of the members of our Holocaust survivor community. We are dedicating a Facebook page to an ongoing conversation between the readers of the books / viewers of the films and the people who created or contributed to these works.
Every month we will alternate between books and films. Most of the films have related books. We encourage you to talk among yourselves about the topic of the month and also pose questions for our special guests. Obviously not every question can be answered but this is your chance to ask.
This is also an opportunity for members of the Shoah survivor community to speak with those who are just learning about the Holocaust. Educators and students participating might greatly benefit from all our experiences and insights. Book groups from churches or secular organizations may be participating. This is an open forum and all who want to interact and learn are welcome.
Our special guest each month will be checking the website frequently but may not always answer questions. Some of our guests have indicated that they do not want to discourage conversations between readers / viewers and will give the discussions time to evolve. Other guests want to interact frequently. The choice is theirs and we are grateful that they have graciously donated their time to be with us.
